In 1980 Alexei played for the Soviet Union in their defeat to the United States at the Olympics. The most infamous upset in sports history that to this day is remembered. Alexei was only 20 years old during that game but already was one of the Soviet Unions top players. From then on Alexei won gold in 1984 and 1987, but never forgetting the huge loss in 1980. That is the sport of hockey and Alexei knows that preparation is everything, no matter who your opponent is, and no matter how weak your oponnent is said to be, you must always be as ready as you can.

Alexei has grown up with the Mentality and the coaching, by Viktor Tikhonov, that a great hockey player is a great athlete and a great human being. That is the passion behind Alexei's teachings. He expects and asks all his players to be the best they can be, not only in the game of hockey, but in their every day life.
Since 1998 Alexei has been passing down his knowledge of the game to the next generation, trying to make a difference in every one of his pupils lives. His clinics, camps, and teams are aimed to better every player that he comes in contact with.
Courage, Respect, and Dedication
are Alexei's Goals for each and every one of his students.Since 1997 Alexei began to form spring and summer teams that would benefit kids that want to take their game to the next level. Alexei is very didicated and passionate about his coaching and asks only what the player can give in return. But with Alexei's knowledge he knows what kids can give and what they can't. He never asks more than he knows he can recieve, but he asks as much as he knows he should. Because only through conquering yourself can you take the step to the next level.
The Admirals?

In 2002 Alexei decided that his teams need a name, a name that is distinguished and also representative of what his program is about. He chose The Admirals, because in that single word lies so much power, courage, and dedication. Everything that Alexei stands for lies in the Admirals and so his teams took on the name.
Alexei has been running his teams for over 5 years now and knows the ins and out of what each age level needs, what coaching they need, what guidance, and what kind of push to extract what he can out of each and every player to become the best that they can be.

In the 2006 / 2007 Season Alexei decided to start a Junior Developement program so that his players can be scouted by colleges and Junior programs that will benefit the players and their careers.
